The process of custom oligo synthesis from Bio-Synthesis is subject to strict quality control measures using our Total Quality Management (TQM) platform to ensure
that all reagents used for the synthesis of custom oligonucleotides are thoroughly inspected and sourced from reliable suppliers. During synthesis, we apply online
trityl monitoring of all oligonucleotides to control the coupling efficiency at
each cycle. All oligonucleotides are analyzed by HPLC or PAGE
for purity and characterized by MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. Our oligos are
quantitated twice by UV spectrophotometry to provide an accurate measure of yield.
As a final step in our TQM process, we perform an additional inspection of every custom oligo to guarantee the highest product quality.

Bio-Synthesis routinely synthesizes oligonucleotides with masses of range circa
100,000 Dalton containing circa 150 bases. These synthetic oligos are purified by
gel electrophoresis and analyzed by analytical gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry.

Bio-Synthesis routinely synthesizes long RNA chemically that is >100 nt with superior
quality. The ability to synthesize longer RNA oligos is highly sequence-dependent
due to the potential for secondary structure formation and the inherent difficulty
for chemical synthesis of certain sequences. Reduced overall yield is expected as
oligo length increases. We also offer enzymatic RNA synthesis by transcription up
to thousands of bases in length using DNA template.
