How to determine amounts of free and protein bound amino acids in protein powders

I want to know how many grams of actual complete protein there are per protein powder serving, and how many are just from the individual amino acids, possibly added to the protein powder.

1.   Determine free amino acids present in the protein powder using standard amino acid analysis.

2.   Separate the proteins from the free amino acids by extracting the free amino acids or precipitating the total proteins and hydrolyze the proteins to release all the amino acids contained in the proteins. Analyze via amino acid analysis.

This will yield the following results

1.   Total amounts of free amino acids per sample volume or aliquot analyzed.

2.   Total amounts of amino acids in proteins per sample volume or aliquot analyzed.
