Oligonucleotide stability and storage

What is oligo stability and how to store?

Repeated freeze-thaw cycling of oligonucleotide should be avoided. It is recommended that multiple aliquots of stock oligonucleotide solution should be stored at -20 oC. Each aliquot should contain sufficient material for 1-2 freeze-thaw cycles only.

The following maybe used as a guide:

Lyophilized -20 oC 6 months to 2 years
Lyophilized  Room Temperature 2 months to 1 year
In solution  -20 oC  1 to 6 months
In solution  Room Temperature  1 to 7 days
