Can oligo be attached in between backbone?
yes, but beaware, when introduce dyes into the oligo sequence in between backbone it will interferes the right hand helical of its duplex. A bulge will be formed a the dye located region and the dyes may stack with the bases because of their huge aromatic rings. Sometimes it’s not good for some biological assays.
