What gold nanoparticle size should I choose for my application?
The application use often determine the size of nanoparticle. Normally smaller size particles offer better sensitivity for applications such as immunogold labeling to minimize steric hindrance and permit the gold particles to bind more to the wanted target. Nevertheless, smaller gold nanoparticles are much less visible compare to bigger particle size which should be taken into consideration during design process.
