Bio-Synthesis offers Alexa 700 fluorescent dye oligonucleotide labeling services. Alexa 700 is a  long wave-length dye which provides near-infrared fluorescence emission, with peak at 723 nm, this dye can be excited with a xenon-arc lamp, far-red diode lasers or dye-pmumped lasers operating in the 675-700 nm range.

  • Far-red fluorescence
  • Good separation from red fluorophores—useful for three- and four-color applications
  • pH-insensitive fluorescence between pH 4 and 10

Alexa 700 dye can be incorporated at any position within an Oligonucleotide. A primary amine modified oligonucleotide is used to covalently attach with dye via NHS conjugation chemistry; other cross-linking chemistries are also available depending on particular project specifications. Dual HPLC purification is used to remove failure sequences during first HPLC purification,  after labeling, the second HPLC is performed to remove unlabeled oligonucleotides and excessive dye in order to obtain a full length labeled oligonucleotide.
