Bio-Synthesis offers Cy5.5 fluorescent dye oligonucleotide labeling.  Cy5.5 is a far-red near-infrared emitting dye which is diea for fluorescence measurements where background fluorescence is a concern. It is also suitable for in vivo NIR imaging experiments. This dye replace Alexa Fluor 680, and DyLight 680. It has an absorbance maximum of 673 nm and an emission maximum of 707 nm.

Cy5.5 dye can be incorporated at any position within an Oligonucleotide post-synthetically or at time of synthesis. An oligonucleotide modified with a primary amine group is used to covalently attach dye with oligonucleotide via NHS ester chemistry; other cross-linking chemistries are also available depending on particular project specifications . Dual HPLC purification is highly recommended for post-synthetic conjugation.
