The final conjugates are purified to homogeneity by ultrafiltration and chromatography, and are characterized by spectrophotometry and gel electrophoresis. Streptavidin labeled oligonucleotide can be used as molecular connectors in the DNA‐directed immobilization (DDI) of biotinylated antibodies using DNA microarrays as immobilization matrices.
