IQ4 Quencher Oligonucleotide Modification
Bio-Synthesis offers a new family of dark quenchers, Instant Quencher, and IQ series that can modify an oligonucleotide's 5'-or 3'-end. IQ4 has a broad absorbance spectrum ranging from 520-706 nm with λmax=587 nm. These quenchers are ideal for their use with fluorescein and other fluorescent dyes emitting in the green to red spectral range. The quencher molecules are stable over a wide range of conditions, including pH and heat. Furthermore, they provide a convenient hydrophobic handle that facilitates purification by HPLC methods. These quenchers are ideal for FAM, Cy5, Texas Red, and other fluorescent dyes that emit in the red spectral range.

Oligonucleotides are stable in solution at 4°C for up to 2 weeks. Properly reconstituted material stored at -20°C should be stable for at least 6 months. Dried DNA (when kept at -20°C) in a nuclease-free environment should be stable for years.
