How to insert modifications:
You may enter multiple sequences (insert each sequence in a separate line)
Enter your sequence without modifications
Place the mouse cursor at a point in the sequence where you would like to insert a modification
You will see a flashing cursor at that location "|"
Move the mouse pointer to the modifications table and click on the link for the modification you wish to insert. (these are the blue links found on the right side of the calculator)
The desired modification will be inserted automatically at the cursor location in the sequence

Locate the sequence in which you want to insert the modification
Position the mouse cursor inside the desired sequence between any two base letters
Click the mouse button once to plant the cursor inside the sequence
Now, navigate the mouse pointer to the modification table and click the blue "Abbreviation" link of the modification you wish to insert
The selected modification will be inserted automatically at the 5' position in the selected sequence

Locate the sequence in which you want to insert an INTERNAL modification
Position the mouse cursor inside the sequence between the two base letters where you want to insert the modification
Click the mouse button once to plant the cursor at the desired insertion position
Now, navigate the mouse pointer to the modification table and click the blue "Abbreviation" link of the modification you wish to insert
The selected modification will be inserted automatically at the cursor location inside the sequence
