Convertible base modified oligonucleotides are often used for scientific studies in various research areas using DNA and RNA oligonucleotides. Specifically, the use of convertible base modified oligonucleotides allows for detailed studies of carcinogenesis, the investigation of DNA and RNA activities, as well as for protein - DNA interaction studies. For example, a convertible deoxyAdenine base (dA) can been used to prepare synthetic oligonucleotides containing multiple attachment sites. These modifications allow the efficient covalent attachments to solid supports. High capacity affinity supports produced this way enable efficient and selective purification of DNA binding proteins.

Bio-Synthesis In. can incorporate convertible bases at virtually any nucleotide position of an oligonucleotide. In addition, every oligonucleotide synthesized is strictly controlled for quality by using either MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry or polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) analysis. Final yields are determined using UV absorbance at OD260 and QC methods are performed tailored to specific modifications, such as OD ratio measurement, where appropriate.

Bio-Synthesis is able to incorporate convertible bases at virtually any nucleotide position of an oligonucleotide. The quality of each synthesized oligonucleotide is verified using mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS), or polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE). Final yields are determined using UV absorbance at OD260 and all QC methods are tailored to the specific modifications such as OD ratio measurement, where appropriate.

Quality Control: Analytical HPLC, Gel eletrophoresis, and  MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometry

Delivery times: 5-7 Working days

Packaging:    Dried

Shipping conditions: Room temperature

Storage conditions: -20 oC to -70 oC

Oligonucleotides are stable in solution at 4 oC for up to 2 weeks. Properly reconstituted material stored at -20 oC should be stable for at least 6 months. Dried DNA (when kept at -20 oC) in a nuclease-free environment should be stable for years.
