 How can whey be analyzed?

Whey components including
free amino acids, peptides and proteins, can be analyzed using a combination of methods including amino acid analysis, electrophoresis, chromatography and spectroscopic methods. The physico-chemical characteristics or properties of whole whey can be determined this way.

Since most protein sequences are now known for whey proteins and their genetic properties and factors responsible for quantitative variability in their expression, are well documented in the literature, protein sequencing using Edman chemistry based, LC-MS/MS based sequencing or other proteomic methods are amiable for this task as well.
