BODIPY 650/665 Fluor Dye, Far Red Emission

BODIPY™ 650/665 is a far-red fluorescent member of the BODIPY fluorophore family, recognized for its exceptional brightness, excellent photostability, high quantum yield, and narrow emission bandwidth. Compared with conventional rhodamine or cyanine dyes, BODIPY fluorophores often provide improved spectral resolution, making them well suited for multiplex fluorescence experiments.

The dye is optimized for excitation with 633–640 nm red lasers and emits bright far-red fluorescence around 665 nm. These optical properties make BODIPY™ 650/665 particularly useful for fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, confocal imaging, fluorescence polarization, FRET assays, biosensor development, and live-cell imaging.

Bio-Synthesis offers custom BODIPY™ 650/665-labeled oligonucleotides for DNA, RNA, PNA, LNA/BNA, aptamers, siRNA, antisense oligonucleotides, CRISPR guide RNAs, molecular beacons, and diagnostic probes. Depending on the synthesis strategy, the fluorophore may be incorporated at the 5′ terminus, 3′ terminus, or internal positions.

Typical applications include:

  • Fluorescence microscopy
  • Confocal microscopy
  • Flow cytometry
  • Live-cell imaging
  • Molecular imaging
  • FRET acceptor labeling
  • Hybridization probes
  • qPCR probe development
  • Biosensors
  • DNA nanotechnology
  • Multiplex fluorescence assays
