Cascade Yellow Fluor Dye, Yellow Emission

Cascade Yellow™ is a fluorescent dye developed for applications requiring efficient excitation with violet or blue light and bright yellow fluorescence emission. The fluorophore exhibits a relatively large Stokes shift, helping minimize excitation light bleed-through while improving detection sensitivity in fluorescence-based assays.

When conjugated to DNA, RNA, PNA, aptamers, or other synthetic oligonucleotides, Cascade Yellow™ provides a stable fluorescent label suitable for molecular biology, diagnostics, and imaging applications. The dye is frequently used in fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, hybridization assays, biosensor development, and multiplex fluorescence experiments where separation from blue-, green-, or red-emitting fluorophores is desirable.

Bio-Synthesis offers custom Cascade Yellow™-modified oligonucleotides for DNA, RNA, PNA, LNA/BNA, aptamers, siRNA, antisense oligonucleotides, CRISPR guide RNAs, molecular beacons, and diagnostic probes. Depending on the synthesis strategy, the dye can be incorporated at the 5′ terminus, 3′ terminus, or internal positions.

Typical applications include:

  • Fluorescence microscopy
  • Confocal microscopy
  • Flow cytometry
  • Hybridization probes
  • Molecular beacons
  • FRET acceptor applications
  • Biosensor development
  • DNA nanotechnology
  • Multiplex fluorescence imaging
  • Molecular diagnostics
