Dyomic DY-490, Green Emission
DY-490 is a premium green fluorophore developed by Dyomics GmbH for high-performance labeling of oligonucleotides and other biomolecules. The dye was designed as a modern alternative to traditional green fluorophores by combining high quantum yield, excellent photostability, low nonspecific binding, and high water solubility. These properties make DY-490 particularly well suited for demanding fluorescence imaging and molecular detection applications.
One of the principal advantages of DY-490 is its efficient excitation by the widely available 488 nm argon-ion or solid-state blue laser, making it compatible with virtually all modern fluorescence microscopes, confocal microscopes, flow cytometers, fluorescence scanners, and microplate readers. Its bright green emission provides excellent sensitivity while allowing efficient multiplexing with orange-, red-, and near-infrared fluorophores.

Oligonucleotides are stable in solution at 4°C for up to 2 weeks. Properly reconstituted material stored at -20°C should be stable for at least 6 months. Dried DNA (when kept at 20°C) in a nuclease-free environment should be stable for years.
