Dyomics® fluorescent dyes are a family of high-performance fluorophores developed by Dyomics GmbH for advanced biological labeling applications. MegaStoke Dye Family

MegaStokes™ fluorescent dyes are designed with exceptionally large Stokes shifts, enabling excitation at one wavelength and fluorescence emission hundreds of nanometers away. Compared with conventional fluorophores, MegaStokes™ dyes minimize excitation light bleed-through, reduce background fluorescence, and simplify multiplex assay design. Dyomics offers three MegaStokes™ families—UV-MegaStokes™, MegaStokes™, and NG-MegaStokes™—covering UV, visible, and next-generation high-performance fluorophores for advanced imaging, diagnostics, and molecular labeling applications.


Why are MegaStokes™ dyes useful?

Traditional fluorescent dyes have relatively small Stokes shifts (typically 20–40 nm), so the excitation light and emitted fluorescence are close together spectrally. This can lead to:

  • excitation light bleed-through
  • increased background fluorescence
  • more complex optical filter requirements

MegaStokes™ dyes solve these issues by emitting far away from their excitation wavelength.
