Description:
This peptide, AD-2S1 epitope of glycoprotein B (gB) of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV), was isolated from a single human peripheral blood B cell. The AD-2S1 epitope is a linear amino acid region near the N-terminus of gB that elicits neutralizing antibodies presumably due to its importance in viral fusion with cell membranes.
