8-Amino C6-dA can be incorporated at any position within an oligonucleotide during synthesis. This modification provides an active primary amino group that can be further used to conjugate with variety of moieties such as biotin, digoxigenin, fluorescent dyes, quenchers, magnetic beads or enzymes such as HRP or alkaline phosphatase. The primary amine labelled oligos can also be conjugated to carboxyl functional groups usually for solid supports applications using EDC mediated reaction.
