Immobilization on Solid Support

The use of particles in biological assays and other applications dated back many decades. Assays and detection systems made by coupling affinity ligands to particles of nanometer or macrometer diameter have been used in diagnostic tests and numerous other research procedures. Latex microspheres and gold nanoparticles parhaps were the earliest example of solid phase spheres used for purposes. With recent explosion in nanotechnology, the relevant particle size has shrunk by 2-3 orders of magnitude adn the applications for particles have dramatically expanded. Nanoparticles and macroparticles are used in agglutination tests and assays, particle capture ELISA methods, lateral flow tests, solid phase assays, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests, Luminex bead-based assay, superparamagnetic-based assay and magnetic separation system , biosensors, fluorescent labels or stains for detecting biological molecules.

We custom design and manufacture bioconjugates variety of biomolecules on various solid media, biomolecule such as antibodies and their fragments, proteins (soluble and membrane proteins), enzymes, nucleic acids and their analogs, peptides and peptidomimetics, fluorescent compounds, biotin and avidin/streptavidin, solid support media, and other biologically active molecules.
