Description:

Amylin, also called Islet or insulinoma amyloid polypeptide (IAPP), is a 37-amino acid monomeric polypeptide isolated from pancreatic amyloid, which is commonly found in the islet of patients with diabetes mellitus type II and in insulinomas. Amylin is derived from a larger propeptide precursor of 89 amino acids in humans. 

C-terminus is amidated.
