Description:
PDGF - BB peptide is a platelet-derived Growth Factor peptide that was used in the stellate cells research. This dimeric peptide composed of two closely related; but not identical chains; A and B; which are linked by disulfide bonds. PDGF BB peptide regulates its biological functions through its binding to specific high-affinity receptors on cell surface. The PDGF alpha-receptor binds PDGF-AA and PDGF-BB; whereas the Beta-receptor (PDGFR-beta) binds PDGF-BB only. PDGF is one of the growth factors that regulates cell growth and division.
