Description:
This peptide represents the recognition sequence of the PDGF b-receptor which specifically interacts with the SH2 domain of the phosphatidyl-inositol 3-kinase (PI3-kinase). In the phosphorylated form it inhibits the binding of the 85kD (p85) subunit of the PI3-kinase to the PDGF b-receptor (IC50= 10 mM). Similar sequences have also been identified as high-affinity binding sites for the SH2 domain of p85 in the polyoma middle-T protein and in the insulin receptor substrate-1.
