Can we send the plasmid directly for mRNA synthesis service?

We have a retroviral vector that expresses the gene of our interest. Can we send the plasmid directly for mRNA synthesis service?

Or do you have specific requirement, e.g., promoter in the plasmid, poly A tail, etc. ?

This depends on the gene organization. A ready-to-use plasmid should have a T7 or SP6 promoter, but a T7 promoter is preferred, at the 5’-end of the target gene. In addition, the target gene also needs to have a unique linearization site at the 3’-end. A polyA tail can be added during production.
